AS A FORMER GIRL SCOUT, I BELIEVE IN THEIR CLASSIC MOTTO: BE PREPARED.
When all the good turns bad---then it’s time to stop being so nice-- to stop being a push-over.When the "writing-on-the-wall" also appears on the ceiling and the floor--there are no options but to Stand Tall, Accept Your Fate, and Move Forward.
Interesting how--- those I believed would love me forever--- would serve as a lifeline during emergencies and my senior years--- so-easily turned their backs on me--their mother-- and walked away.
There's no way to prepare for abandonment--loss---or desertion but---if it happens to you---be prepared to keep believing in yourself. Don't accept blame for the heartless actions of others. Most of all--never allow others to de-value you.
If a day comes and you find yourself completely alone--with no family --then create your own lifeline and--hold-on-tight. Be prepared to stay strong, and refuse to accept the role of “victim.” Always be prepared to serve as your own support system AND to be your own--best friend.
I know--first-hand-- how much it hurt to be abandoned by those I loved most but-- after the initial shock-- I finally accepted what I couldn't change. I forced myself to focus on the positives in my life and to build on my strengths.
I admit--- I wasn't prepared to face the end of life--alone. But, looking back, I suddenly realized-- I've been facing most-all of my life--alone.
So-- in truth-- I’m prepared. And, knowing God's beside me, I’m ready.
Simply, Sally

Lol, I loved reading this story! As a female that dated a couple men with Harleys, I totally understand and met Harley Guy myself, many times over!
I hope you get your 3wheels someday soon!
