I grew-up, singing and speaking for Pine Bluff's Rotary Club. Of all the local service organizations, Rotary was my favorite.

The year was1983 and--- after living and working in the Northeast for a few years--- I'd returned to my hometown. After launching an effort to save the 819 Steam Engine from "dying" in an abandoned city park, the Rotary Club invited to share the details of the Engine's Successful Move from the park and back to it's "roots" at the railroad's shops---for complete renovation. AND NOW---here's the story:

"The day of my noontime appearance at The Pine Buff Rotary Club, I was happy to see a large turnout of members as well as several journalists from the Arkansas media.

I had barely started my lively “show and tell” presentation when I noticed a few members glancing at their watches and--- another longtime Rotarian rhythmically-stirring his coffee--and banging his metal spoon repeated against the side of the china cup. Then, within a few minutes, two members began whispering loudly to each other.  But, when the Rotarian across from me started snoring---mouth open, eyes closed-- I lost my composure.

I stopped talking, laid my photos on the table, and... waited.  After a minute or two, wondering why the speaker was suddenly silent-- everyone stopped stirring their coffee, whispering, sleeping, nibbling---and looked in my direction.

Silence can be the perfect attention-getter.  It was only after the room got completely quiet and every eye was on me, that I choose to speak:

“Why am I standing here telling you about an historic event that took place at Oakland Park---only blocks from your businesses? Why am I showing you photos of the 819 rescue with all the visiting dignitaries, when---as Rotarians and important leaders of this community--you could have been there, should have been there----- but chose NOT to be there?!?!?!

Just moments ago, I suddenly-realized the future of the 819 is in jeopardy without strong leadership-- the kind of serious leadership that has been desperately-missing in Pine Bluff.

So forget my 819 Presentation. AS OF RIGHT NOW--- I’m announcing my intent to run for Mayor of Pine Bluff.  And, if you aren’t careful----I WILL WIN!"

Unfortunately--- I lost the Mayor's Race and--what I feared most---happened. The 819's Future died--along with the Town. Yes, I was bitter, frustrated, and angry.  Not only because I lost an unfair, rigged, and completely-corrupt Race but--because I had a solid Platform and a flawless Plan to save my hometown of Pine Bluff, Arkansas.  The day the race ended--- I said I would never participate in another political race---- "NEVER AGAIN".

NOW---Fast-Forward from the mid-eighties---to Today:

Plans are being activated to Take-Over America. The plans were conceived long ago and are being initiated by the same CORRUPT DEMOCRAT PARTY that so blatantly-orchestrated Pine Bluff’s Mayoral Race.

Liberals' Evil Plan for complete dominance has grown to such gigantic proportions—THE PLAN now encompasses the entire world stage.   So, after much thought....I've been re-thinking the word "NEVER".

Age has never limited my actions or my possibilities. In fact, Age has merely improved my performance. Each one of my Experiences has made me stronger and widened my vision. And—I’ve learned –in order to win---I must lead with my head—rather than my heart.  SO….

Watch Out World.  I just might start preparing for yet-another long-distance run---a run for Congress.
