STRENGTH TRAINING...WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO LOSE?!?!?!
Age-wise, I’ve lived quite a few years and can easily identify with those of you who sometimes feel sad, alone, unloved, and forgotten. I also know how we handle adversity
makes us either stronger or forces us to go down in defeat.
THE VERY MINUTE I stopped being a pleaser and stopped allowing others to control me--was the moment
I began my "Strength Training." Remember—Real Strength Training is not about machines, weights, or physical endurance.
Real Strength Training is about loving
and believing in yourself; it's about restructuring your life---about reaching far beyond the limits others have---and do--- place on you---and finding your dreams-- your goals-- and your purpose in life. It’s simply about---- believing in “you.”
Through all my years, I held-tight to a childhood dream--- only- because my fourth grade teacher believed in me and my endless possibilities. Because my teacher never gave up
on me or my dream---I succeeded in making my dream--a reality. After a lifetime of challenging as well as successful experiences-- I began to BELIEVE IN ME.
Somewhere along my tumultous journey---I opened the door to my heart and invited God inside. He is my best friend. God directed my Strength Training and, because of him,
I stopped limiting myself--- and stopped others from limiting me.
God’s Power and Strength have provided the training I so-desperately needed to live a
valuable life. I've learned to love both my successes and my failures. I've also learned to praise myself during the good times as well as the not-so- good times. God created value in each of us and we are all-- worthy of love. I truly believe
the words as I sing: “Oh, how he loves you and me.”
If you don't believe in yourself or don't recognize your true value--start your strength training--
today. Simply Start by---bowing your head and closing your eyes. Take a few deep breaths then start a conversation with God. You can say something like:
“Hi---Dear Heavenly Father. I've been trying-- for such a long time-- to do everything—all by myself. I’m sorry for leaving you out of my life but now—I realize how much I really need you. I don’t mean-- just
for today but--- for always. Please make me strong—I’m so sad, so alone, and...so very weak. I need to be strong-enough to avoid those who continue to hurt me and treat me with hate, and ugliness. Help me to stay patient through all
the stressful times and--- teach me to love myself. Also, please show me how to love those around me--- who often seem unlovable.
Most importantly--- put me where
you want me to be and show me how to be your best friend. Open my heart to hear your reassuring voice and to know-- I am never alone. Thank you for listening to my urgent plea and for always staying close-by.
Please guide me, love me, and keep me in your constant care, forever and ever.”
The Holy Bible says "And
they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as Eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."
